MALIK BADER
Malik Bader was born and raised in Chicago, where he made his feature directorial debut with, Street Thief, which premiered at Tribeca, as a documentary in competition, and created a whirlwind of controversy when it was revealed that the film was in fact scripted and starred Malik Bader as the thief. Since its release Street Thief has garnered a cult following for its unflinching vérité depiction of burglar Kaspar Carr’s life. In 2015 Malik completed Cash Only, which made its World Premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival, where Malik received the Best Director Award. Malik most recently completed his latest film, KIllerman, starring Liam Hemsworth and Emory Cohen. Killerman was released theatrically in 2020 by Blue Fox and Paramount.
